My Hours offers three different budget types to match your project setup.
- Costs budget - calculated from user labor rates, tracked time, and expenses.
- Billable budget - track how much billable time has been logged against the agreed budget
- Total hours budget - based on tracked hours to manage workload and project timelines
Set Budgets at the Project or Task Level
My Hours lets you choose whether you want a big overall budget or smaller, more targeted budgets.
- Project budgets: Set a single budget for the entire project.
- Task budgets: Create an individual budget for every task that you add to a project.
Recurring and Retainer Budgets
Choose from one-off budgets or ones that reset each month.
- All three budget types (costs, billable, and hours) can be set to recur every month.
- Recurring budgets can also be set at the project and task level.
Automated Alerts for Budget Expenditure
Stay aware of project expenditure by switching on automated alerts.
- My Hours will email you when a budget reaches a certain threshold. Alerts are sent for one-off budgets as well as recurring ones.
- Choose the percentage threshold for when the alert is sent: 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, or 90%.
Trend & Forecast project chart
View time and cost trends on the project overview with clear charts that show budget spending at a glance.
- Time Chart – shows trends and forecasts of total tracked hours for the project
- Finance Chart – shows trends and forecasts of billable amounts and total costs
- The trend slope is calculated from the average slope of the latest 30% of the chart points.

- Choose the Dashboard report for a high-level overview of budget usage across projects
